Boost or Attenuate
Born next door and at the same day as Hercules BRIAN gets his name due to Monty Phyton's Classic The Life of Brian.
With its circuit based on the old 1960 consoles pre's HERCULES gives you 6 steps of delicious class A Boost and 6 steps of amassing Class A attenuation. Its high impedance input takes almost no load from the pickups allowing the greater magnetic field around the guitar/bass strings.
In the boost part it's the same great circuit and functionality as the HERCULES, but with less boost available.
THE 6 STEPED ATTENUATOR is where the magic begins. If you have an already overdriven amp, BRIAN CAN CLEAN IT. It's a great solution for those of us who love an AC30 cranked but also need a clean sound out of it. With BRIAN you can set it to attenuate the input in the amp which results in less or no overdrive (depending on the settings) but with no frequency or tone loss (as it often happens when we use the guitar's volume). So now instead of jumping on a booster for that solo line you will be turning off the BRIAN and letting your amp run free.
So it's two pedals in one: a Booster and a Attenuator. When you feel like boosting your amp Brian can deliver it with its white/day. When you feel you want less Drive for that part, BRIAN can deliver it with its black/night side.
Its discrete steps allows for instant recall on presets. You can easily know where to set it when you change from a Les Paul to a Tele.
As with CUSTOM ANALOG'S products, its construction a component selection follows the military standards for electric and electronic equipment, and are 100% hardwired, one by one. Following this concept the screws are on top (as the electric panels of airplanes and summariness) so you can get easy access to the battery compartment, without the need to remove it form your pedalboard. It comes equipped with a white super bright led for you to see when it's on at all times.
