Being a great Hendrix fan, I had to try his signature strings (although he didn't sign anything...). I was amased. The strings are great!!!
Not to tight for the bending work but not too loose that you can't get them in tune. 
I use 0,10" Pure Nickel on my fender's Strat and Tele, and 0,10" Nickel Plated Steel on my Les Pauls, Flyng V', 335 and all the humbucker guitars. In the Fenders the string compensates the guitar's trebly sound.
On Les Pauls and other humbucker guitars the string gives me that extra definition fighting the humbuckers muddyness.

Jimi started recording with Pure Nickel strings. That’s one of the sounds you hear. Yeah, there are lots of amps involved, but the very beginning sound came from the strings. The Pure Nickel outer wrap has a special Vintage tone that no other string has.
